2026 - Zechariah - Prisoners of Hope1 Message
Spiritual renewal is at the heart of Zechariah. In Zechariah 1:3 God’s people are invited to return to a relationship with him through repentance. After many years in exile God is going to show Israel mercy and compassion, redeem them out of their situation, and dwell with and bless the people again. Of course, this will ultimately come through the Messiah, Israel’s righteous king that will bring salvation to Israel and the world through the blood of his covenant. In the midst of defeat, God is bringing new encouragement and hope of a better future through God’s son. Zechariah 8:12 calls the people ‘prisoners of hope’–meaning though they still face the difficulties of the situations they find themselves in, they have a new undeniable hope in the God that he will restore all things and dwell with his people again. We invite you to come and join us as we learn from Zechariah what it means to hope in the Gospel.

1-3 John are exciting letters that major on the basics of Christianity. John has written these letters to believers in Asia Minor so that they could be assured of their salvation. John reminds us how God illuminated our world with the truth of the Gospel. Christ in love left heaven to come and save us. If we commit ourselves to Christ, our fellowship with the Father and the Son is sure. We experience the forgiveness of our sins and God’s love toward us. In response our hearts should desire to walk in his ways and to extend love to those around us. Above all, we have a secured hope of eternal life. Come and join us as we consider the basics of Christianity and live in the light and love of the Gospel.
