Hey everyone!

Have I mentioned how grateful I am to be here? Ministering to the people of Finland and seeing how God is working through United Community Church has been an amazing blessing and something I will cherish forever. I’ve met so many great people and have made such good friends. So many prayers answered. I also had an incredible past week with my parents here!! I am so forever grateful to whoever it was that helped make that happen!! We also had a surprise visit from my sister Sandy!! She flew over here without any of us knowing! Oh how I felt and feel so loved. There’s many things that I could update you all on, and hopefully I can write them down in later posts, but right now, I ask that you be praying for a big youth camp I am about to leave for called TeenStreet!

TeenStreet is a huge youth camp hosted in Offenburg, Germany hosted by Operation Mobilisation (OM) – an international Christian missions movement. At TeenStreet, TONS of youth from all across Europe come to this camp to be encouraged through worship, God’s Word, countless fun activities, and deep dives into Scripture within small groups. What an amazing thing that they do to encourage and strengthen the faith of the youth in Europe. Europe needs Jesus. Even though Christianity is a part of Europe’s history, and many think (I had thought) that Europe has been reached with the Gospel, however, many churches are drifting away from the Truth and they need to come back to the Gospel and the preaching of God’s Word. So a camp like this in Europe that is full of God’s Word is so encouraging!

This year’s theme at camp is called “PATHS: Wisdom’s Call”. We’ll learn about how to live in God’s Wisdom and where it begins! With that, we’ll be reading through some Proverbs (which is cool since I know Risen Life has been going through a Proverbs series!). My role is a small group leader. I have 8 girls in my small group. We meet as a group daily to discuss the passage for that day and to encourage and pray for one another.

We leave for camp this Saturday, August 1st very early in the morning and we return next Saturday, Aug 8th! I am excited for this camp, but you know, I do have some worries and fears leading up to going, so I just ask that you be praying for at least one of the following things:

  • Safety and smooth travels going there, being there, and coming back
  • Pray that God would work in hearts, save souls, and encourage believers to be more bold and strengthened in their faith
  • Pray that I would connect well with the girls in my small group and that God would help me lead them well; the girls would participate in discussion that would lead to sweet conversations about Jesus
  • Pray that I would trust God to work in and through me and that it’s not me doing the work but God doing the work and speaking through me
  • Pray for health, energy, strength, and focus throughout the week and that I would cast all my worries and fears to the Father
  • Pray the youth would take home what they learn! Pray that they would walk in wisdom when they return to their schedules.
  • & just any and all kinds of prayers are much appreciated!!

Again, I want to thank you all for your support and for praying over the work being done here. God has been so good and I have been learning more about His holiness, unconditional love, His grace, and just the depth of what He did for me through Jesus. What an honor to serve Him. Love you church family!
