Real Life Transformation

Real-life transformation (starting with salvation to baptism to maturity in Christ) is, at its core, the worship of Christ (Romans 12:1-2). Starting with Jesus at the center, the key elements of transformation are broken down as follows.

A Risen Life confesses Jesus as Lord.

This confession understands two truths:

  1. All have fallen short of God’s holiness (Romans 3:23), but
  2. Christ died and God raised Him from the dead to save those who believe (Romans 10:9).

Let Christ be the Lord of all of who you are—your past, present, and future.

because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

A Risen Life is guided by God’s Word, the Bible.

Everything God has written is without error, is every day useful, and is meant to encourage and direct our lives (2 Timothy 3:16). Be encouraged to not only read, but to fully embrace and live out His Word through everything you say and do.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

A Risen Life abides in prayer.

Prayer is an opportunity to not only ask, but to give thanks and reflect on all He has done for us (I Thessalonians 5:16-18). Pray without reservation and expectation, in full humility and urgency.

Rejoice always, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. pray without ceasing,

A Risen Life is active in a Church community.

For where Christ’s followers gather, He is with us (Matthew 18:20). Dedicate your time, talent, and resources to encourage your local church.

'For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.'

A Risen Life is engaged in evangelism.

The message of Christ is one of hope and renewal to be heard by all (Mark 16:15-20). Go into the world (whether next door, the next city, or the next country) and share this life-changing gospel truth.

...'Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. '

A Risen Life is sacrificial in service.

For Christ, this meant serving us by giving His life as a ransom to those who believe (Mark 10:45). Serve others as Christ served us, giving up your wants to meet the needs of those God has put in your life.

'For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.'
