Today was a quiet day. Pastor Vladislav and his wife had a funeral in Rijeka. We headed out for history lessons at Muzej Domovinskog Rata Karlovac – Turanj, the civil war museum in Karlovac. This city was one of the frontlines during the war against Serbia from 1991 to 1995. They had a collection of news clipping, improvised weapons, vehicles, and a memorial. It was a sobering reminder of the depraved potential of humanity.

We then headed north to Varaždin for lunch with the Krizmanic family, Danijel and Ksenia. As we arrived, we could smell the roasted chicken and pasta they had prepared for all of us. Danijel showed us their new home, in need of some repairs and finishing. Their two older boys, Elizej and Pavlo, are playful and growing bigger. The youngest, Ilijes, loves to be held by mom.

They seemed more interested in playing with toy cars than eating the green spinach pasta. They asked for prayer for their ministry and family. Elizej is making friends with the neighbor. Ksenia prays that he will follow Jesus rather the influence of other people. Danijel is still waiting for the results of his tumor scan and the next step of eldership. He prays that he can trust God in this time of disruption for their church’s ministry.

Please also pray for Ja who got the sniffles and was knocked out by NyQuil.
