2023 - Christmas

As we celebrate Christmas and the birth of Christ, Luke 1:26-38 provides a great example of faith in Mary. Mary heard the word of God given by Gabriel the Angel, believed what was said, and began to live God’s word out. Luke reminds us concerning the virgin birth that God can do anything. As we celebrate Christ this Christmas season, may we be reminded that God can do the impossible in any situation we find ourselves in, and may we in faith expect him to move. God favored Mary not because there was anything innately special about her, but because God wanted to place his love on her. Similarly, God loves us in Christ not because of who we are, but because of who he is.
