A Not So Silent Night
Annual Christmas Concert
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Join us for our 10th annual Christmas concert – usually the first or second weekend of December.
We love to call this show “A Not So Silent Night” as we turn up the volume on the joy and good news of Jesus by presenting Christmas songs like you’ve never heard them before. Guitars, drums, amazing vocals, and violin! You definitely don’t want to miss this!
This is an all ages event and is absolutely FREE! Seats are first come first served. Doors open at 6pm so make sure you come early to get a good seat. Invite your friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors and enjoy a cookie reception in the lobby afterward.
Also be sure to make plans to join us on Christmas Eve (December 24) for our Christmas Eve Candlelight service.

God's New Living Building

This Sunday we will dive back into 1 Peter and think about what it means to be Firm in the Faith again. Together, we will look at 1 Peter 2:4-12. Here Peter gives us important imagery for God’s people, the church. He shows us how we are all being built into a spiritual house for God. No physical temple needed anymore. God’s people will be God’s new temple, and Jesus is the cornerstone. Jesus as the cornerstone will be good for those that believe, but for others he will be a rock of offence and great stumbling block. You can probably think of many people in your life right now that are stumbling over Jesus. For God’s people however, Jesus will be the sure foundation we need to get through life with a living hope.

Life can be difficult and it is easy to focus more on the obstacles that confront us everyday over Jesus. 1 Peter is a book of hope that reminds us of what Jesus has done for us as believers to make our salvation sure. Peter wants to tilt our head up from the day to day problems of life to remember the hope of our salvation in Christ. He encourages us to have a forward lean to our faith that is looking forward to the completion of our salvation when Christ returns. His message to us is that if you can keep your eyes focused on what Jesus has accomplished and our salvation to come, you can face any obstacle in life-Firm in the Faith. Join us as we hear what God has to say to us as we explore this short and punchy book over the summer!
