This week Pastor Jim Harding will be continuing our new sermon series entitled “Delighting in the Lord”. Pastor Jim will share with us about delighting in His character. We serve a great God who is all loving, faithful, and patient, who holds everything together, and still cares for each of us deeply and personally.
Psalm 145:3 says: “Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.” We can’t fully understand the depth of the character of God but we can know what He has revealed to us. So what is our response to God’s greatness? Check out the verse right before it. “Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever.”
As we gather in worship tomorrow morning. Let us delight in the Lord, worship Him, and be prepared for what he has to say to us about Himself through His word.
Jesus prayed in John 17:3 that we would know Him and the Father. Knowing God and being in a relationship with Him through Jesus really is the greatest prize of following Jesus–in fact, the Bible calls this eternal life. In this series Delighting in the Lord we will look at what it means to delight in and enjoy God in his word, in his character, in creation, and in the salvation offered to us in Christ. We invite you to grow with us as we become believers that not only know about God and the things of God, but are in a relationship with Christ in which we take great delight.
