Acts 12:25-13:52 – Paul and Barnabas First Missionary Journey

This Sunday we will be back in Acts 12:25-13:52 thinking about Paul and Barnabas as they head out on their first missionary journey. The passage will draw a strong contrast between those that believe the Gospel and those that reject it, even make fun of it, and stand in the way of its advance. In our lives we will be on one side of Jesus or the other. We will either believe and follow him, or reject the Gospel and work against him. In Paul’s sermon he will also highlight the fact that the Gospel has come and offers us freedom from our sin and striving to make God happy with us. God has been working a plan throughout the OT and the NT culminating in Christ to save anyone who would put their faith in Christ. Paul’s invitation is to come and find freedom in the Gospel
