Because there was a large traveling dance troupe staying at Hotel Dalmicija, it was overbooked, and our reservation canceled. However, we were the blessed recipients from the abundance of food. Free pizza, breakfast buffet, and meat plate.

A great start before heading to Hotel Korkyra bar for Sunday service. The Evangelical Pentacostal Church of Korčula has over a dozen members, and have some trouble finding worship space. The hotel is under construction and lets the church rent the space until May. Please pray for God’s help finding the next place.

After a few new praise songs (to us) about King David dancing to God, Scott gave a sermon on Zechariah 1 about God’s call to know His word and to seek repentance, translated by Elder Neven. We’ve met missionaries from Illinois who settled on the island, Bob and Carol. Also found out that Andrea’s mom Katića, who is the caregiver to Andrea’s first child along with her own mother, broke her arm. Please pray for the whole family.

Then Neven left to coach the local boys soccer team, and his wife Christina showed us around town and took us to Vela Spila cave where archeologists discovered stone age settlement. That same hill has terraces of olive and other trees, overlooking the town.

That night, Linđo Folklorni Ansambl (who took over our hotel room), gave their performance on traditional music and dance of different regions in Croatia. Please pray for their chaperones and the hotel staff who cleans up after them.
