The plan for Dubrovnik was meeting a few members from the Baptist Church. But John Lehn got miserably sick from the conference, and no one else was available to interpret. Please pray for John and several others who suddenly became ill and missed the conference entirely. It was like something was preventing connection between churches. Like Pastor Ico attending to Andrea on the other side of the country. So we wandered around the old town instead, praying. There were so many stairs. Plus 430 more outside of the old city to get home. Non-resident cars are not allowed here.

Dubrovnik became extremely wealthy in the middle ages partly due to their merchant marine fleet and salt. Their well built and well run galleons were able to haul cargo around Africa to India. They harvested salt when it was worth its weight in gold. And when they couldn’t buy their way out of a problem, they knew the art of diplomacy. The old town is still in pristine condition to this day. Pray that they’ll come to know that true riches is only in Christ.

For dinner, we ordered a large pizza to have leftover, and Tabasco Pizzaria did not disappoint. Cheese, tomato sauce, ham, bacon, olives, chili peppers and two eggs cracked on the center. Ukusna hrana!

Our final stop was a 20 minute drive to a hostel in the city of Komolak. The Word of Life Church rents space there for worship. We met two of the members, Javorka and Elma, at the regional conference in Neum. Pray that they will trust God with leadership and longterm location.
