Today we drove to Zapote, an impoverished village, about two hours from San Lucas, driving through four rivers along the way. An Iglesia Galilea church plant is there headed by Pastor Jose Luis and his wife, Victoria. They’ve been serving there for 20+ years.

When we arrived, our team split up into two groups to build homes for two families (both single-moms) in need. It was humbling to witness the excitement and anticipation these families showed as they watched their new homes—made with wooden pillars and sheet metal—being built. What may seem like not much to us is a life-changing thing for them. God cares so much about these families and this village and is working through Iglesia Galilea. Would you please take the time to pray for Iglesia Galilea El Zapote, that the gospel would be spread and people would come to saving faith and put their hope in Jesus. This same prayer also goes for Iglesia Galilea San Lucas and Iglesia Galilea El Membrillal and their communities.

Since we had to drive through a few rivers to get there, when rain starts, those rivers build. So when we started to see rainy clouds coming, we had to gather our things and head back. The Lord watched over our travels and got us all back (three vehicles total) safely. The Lord has been so present.

Thank you for following along with us and for your prayers and support. Tomorrow we head back to Zapote to finish up the houses and wood-burning stoves!
